The Journey of the Beloved is About Always Choosing Love

I had the pleasure of meeting and sharing with Anaiya Sophia in person and her natural infectious energy she holds for the deepest love imaginable is contagious, such a sweet presence to bask in. This same sweet energy resides in the pages of this book, A Pilgrimage to Love: A Tale of Romance, Heartbreak and Meeting “The One”, as she takes you along the pilgrimage with her through her emotions, her thoughts, her fears and pains to the choice of constantly choosing love. This path of constantly surrendering to the love and letting it take you into the deepest parts of your being is required to recognize and to BE with your beloved, the twin soul or twin flame (however you want to phrase it).

Anaiya says, “Surrender is to not know, but rather to embrace and become willing to face anything,” as this is what it takes to submit to love, to the heart and to rise in the highest love vibration in relationship, with yourself and your beloved, as they are one and the same. You need to be able to love yourself, your wounds (and to feel them), you need to be able to love your divine partner through his/her wounds, and know that the “attacks” are from the wounds. Love would love through those dark moments, love into the light, as the light gets brighter as the love gets stronger.

There are many times throughout reading this book, that I wanted to lash out and attack her beloved as she shared what she was experiencing, what was shared and expressed from him, yet, because I have had my own experiences of loving through those difficult moments, I knew that love would need to be chosen again and again if love is where she wanted to reside. I had to stop reading, close my eyes and feel that love deep in the deepest parts of my womb, my heart, and breathe out anything that didn’t vibrate in love. This is the way of love, isn’t it? AND it can be done…Anaiya shows that she is willing to be loves companion as love continues to be her companion. Through all of the times when she wanted to run away or give up, she loved more…and it was inspiring. May it inspire you into the greatest possibilities of love with yourself, your beloved and the world.

All We Ever Wanted Was Everything
by Janelle Brown

Looking Outside for Happiness will Eventually Lead you to Looking Inside Yourself

This was a book which was easy to read, hard to put down, and I was inspired throughout it. The book brings you through characters who are looking outside of themselves for happiness while afraid of not living up to others (parents, friends or society) expectations. Because of this, there is a lot of hiding “failures” from those who are close, and finding just about any way to escape from facing the reality of the situations that arise, from the destruction or crumbling of the American Dream.

I do feel that this book brings out the theme of the American Dream rather extensively – we wanted everything: the best car, the biggest house, the largest bank account, the designer clothes, the marriage and kids with “security.” Though it does make you think about it in many different aspects, does searching after these things truly bring happiness and when these things are achieved, is there happiness? There are a lot of images of happiness/perfection in this book…For example, having the actor boyfriend makes one look good perhaps if you are looking through the eyes of a society that upholds status, but does that make you happy? Is ones identity mixed up with such a status? What happens when the relationship transitions? Does life still go on, and if so, in what way?

The cover is a beautiful and poignant illustration of the themes of the book, which I feel captured the fallout of the American Dream in a perfect way. This “American Dream” is now in transformation and will continue to transform. The cover is of an ice cream sundae which is melting and quite literally, falling apart. This is literal in the sense that Lizzie, one of the characters turns to ice cream sundaes and food to feel good, but it also represents the search for everything, and the attachment to everything outside of oneself that will bring happiness. When we hold this to be truth, naturally, it causes everything to fall down because the ultimate happiness comes from within.

I enjoyed the journey with the characters while reading this book as well as all of what it made me take a deeper look at. All We Ever Wanted Was Everything, but what do we want and choose now?

Grant me a Higher Love: How to Go from the Relationship from Hell to One that’s Heaven Sent by Scaling the Ladder of Love
by Cindi Sansone-Braff

I am very passionate about relationships and in particular, the Ladder of Love, as I do feel that we have more than one soul mate (mirror souls) and the ultimate relationship is the one of the twin flame. Cindi does a beautiful job of bringing to the readers awareness how to move from a lower rung of love to a higher love. She shows how important it is to be ready to fully be committed to this love with all of your body, mind, soul and spirit, constant surrendering to the flow, the guidance, the deep love in every moment. You will feel a deeper awareness opening as you turn each page, moving you into the vibration of welcoming in this higher love you have been craving for a long time.

You will learn about what unconditional love really is and how to choose the highest love, understanding what behaviors exist on the lower rungs of the ladder. It is when we know that we can then choose what we desire to experience, and when we can see our patterns, we can shift out of them to choose another way.

We are now in the Age of Aquarius and more of us will be reuniting with our twin flames in service to the world…this is exciting…and what it takes is a profound intention towards healing all parts of ourselves, our previous individual karma as our twin does the same…

This book is a wonderful story of a soulmate reunion. Being in the world of humans, but being a spiritual energy field, we can get confused between lust and passion with deep soulmate connection and love. This is a story of showing the difference between them and going into detail of how profound, understanding and loving a soulmate love is. There are no words needed, there will be a deep understanding, that will need only a look and it is if you are both speaking to each other, without words on an internal level. This is a very fun book that is entertaining and captivating. It will leave you wanting to read more – if you have ever been interested in that type of love as well as the connection with the angelic realm, then this is a book you will want to read.

This book is a must read for anyone who is incorporating the law of attraction into their lives and attempting to live a life of freedom – freedom from fear, freedom from hindering beliefs that no longer serve you, freedom from being “human.” Have you ever found yourself taking something someone said personally? Have you ever made an assumption about another person? Have you ever not tried your best at something? Have you ever spoken against yourself – in other words did not follow through with your word or didn’t speak what you felt? This book will be a guide to help you to live a life without assumptions, mastering the trap of taking things others say or do personally, and living a life of freedom. Your job is not to get someone to “get it” but rather to shine your light in the darkness.

Below is a video by Steven on youtube and he is briefly discussing the four agreements, what they are and a few examples. All he says is true and just beautifully spoken. I agree with him – get your hands on the book for it will change your life, if you allow it to.

This was the book which started my path onto spiritual enlightenment. I grew up Catholic, instilled with many ideas, among them, the one that I was a sinner, that I had to ask for forgiveness to be looked at lovingly in the eyes of God. However, God is said to be all forgiving, and somehow my soul could not completely comprehend the duality and hypocrisy here. Something was amiss – my God loves me as I am, my God doesn’t judge me, my God is love, pure and unconditional love – which is totally free of expectations, assumptions, judgments, doubt, and any other emotion that is not an extension of love. It was synchronisitic in the way that I came across the book – which is how most things that are awakening happen – and actually, I first came across his children’s book, “The Little Soul and the Sun.” It was a children’s book, however it was so profound and I got so much out of it. I then read the back of the book and his series of CWG books I got for Christmas. It was a life changing, perception altering book – Book 1 (though all of them are). It brings up so many ideas that I was told to believe, and it does ask you to question them, to look at them in a different light than the way you may have been raised to. Ah, but what a refreshing and transformative way to live – don’t EVER believe something someone tells you because they tell it to you – because perhaps they are an authority figure, have a degree that you may not have, or any other reason. Believe whatever resonates within you, within your core to be true, for you. BTW, I would also recommend reading “The Little Soul and the Sun” too. Amazing, truly.

I admit that I am a fan of Paulo’s and I can’t help it. His words, his thoughts, are just so profoundly inspiring – he takes the reader on a journey of self-realization and discovery, allowing for the essential step of going inside one’s soul. Through this particular novel, he focuses on the search for love, which is so inherently embedded within us, but this love he focuses on is more of a profound love between two people who are equals. Let me explain a bit about that – what I mean by equals is that the level in which they view life, their values are similar. Their connection with each other is necessary for their growth and their life mission, however they do not “need” each other to be happy, in the sense that their individual happiness come from within themselves but being together adds to that happiness.

The woman in this novel, Maria, does become a prostitute but ultimately she is searching for the person that she can love and share life with. You are probably thinking that it is not possible in that circumstance, however if you are open and ready, love can be found anywhere. The person that is your equal can be found anywhere, though not particularly when you are “searching” for him/her. Searching illicits a type of emotion that is of lack, for the truth is that you don’t need someone else to make you happy, being with someone else will not make you happy – it will add to your happiness.

The search for love requires letting go of fear, the fear of being rejected, the fear that the love will not always be as perfect as it seems at the beginning, the fear that the person will not like you anymore when they discover all of who you are. These are things that we all encounter when we are in the awe and reality of love, however they are necessary to confront if we want to experience the love we desire. Maria does have to go through these nuances of fear and letting them go, however she learns through her various encounters with different men more about who she is. Therefore, none of those experiences she regrets – and that is a message in itself. Don’t curse anyone that you had a love relationship with – you were with them for a reason – recognize that reason – learn from it – and send love still to that person.

Lastly, I want to add that sex (making love) is a counterpart of love but not a path to love.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In his own words:
Eleven Minutes does not set out to be a manual or a treatise about a man and a woman confronted by the unknown world of sexual relationships. It is an analysis of my own trajectory. It took me a long time to learn that the coming together of two bodies is more than a response certain to physical stimuli or to the survival instinct. Sex is a manifestation of a spiritual energy called love.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Some quotes from the book:

“Love is not found in someone else, but in ourselves; we simply awaken it. But in order to do that, we need the other person.”

“Really important meetings are planned by the souls long before the bodies see each other.”

“If we are full of enthusiasm for life, then the unknown reveals itself, and our universe changes direction.”

This book kept me company on my way to Massachusetts to visit my family. I moved to California to embark on my “personal legend”, my life purpose and this was my first visit back home since the move. This book was powerful, for it touched on various life topics: love, letting go of fear, following the “omens”, or signs that the universe places before you to guide you, and happiness. The main focus in the novel is known in this line, “When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.” This is a similar theme in “The Secret.” You can read more about that movie in the movies section.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A question Paulo Coelho was asked regarding The Alchemist.
You also say people should watch for omens. Can you describe what you mean by omens?
Omens are the individual language in which God talks to you. My omens are not your omens.
They are this strange, but very individual language that guides you toward your own destiny. They are not logical. They talk to your heart directly.
The only way that you can learn any language is by making mistakes. I made my mistakes, but then I started to connect with the signs that guide me. This silent voice of God that leads me to the places where I should be.
